Please let us know about your event so that we can list it here.

The idea for a Fly In event was born in January 2011, when a group of fanatical aviation enthusiasts decided to form the Alldays Vliegklub, using the badly rundown former SAAF airfield as its base which is situated some 6km from Alldays. The club immediately set about improving the facilities at the airfield largely at own cost to the members, but with a few donations and sponsorships from the community.
The members then decided in late February 2011, that to truly attract more members and possibly recoup some of their own invested capital, to hold an Bosveldfees & Fly-in event, with a solid Bushveld theme so as to attract and include the large part of the surrounding community. Plans were made to upgrade the water and electricity supplies, build ablutions and control tower as well as clear space for exhibition stalls. Members visited other Fly-In and Air Show events to learn from what other event organisers were doing so that they could undertake the vast exercise for themselves, addressing issues such as logistics and pilot and visitor safety etc.
After an intensive advertising campaign, the organisers were able to attract corporate exhibitors and a good group of local exhibitors which reflected the community at its best. The event was scheduled for the 15th & 16th of June 2011, with pilots from as far afield as Plettenburg Bay,Cape Town and Bloemfontein all indicating their intentions of flying to Alldays for the inaugural Alldays Fly In and Bosveldfees.
The Alldays Bosveldfees & Fly-in attracted a record number of more than 200 aircraft from all over the country. The Harvard Club established their own new record at the event, flying 52 sorties for the 2 days. With more than 6,000 visitors, 2 livestock auctions and live entertainment in the form of the popular group DJ Ossewa, the crowds were kept enthralled by the aerobatic displays of the warbird’s team of Jason Beamish, Robbie Beaumont and Pierre Gouws. In the word’s of Willie Bodenstein: “The Alldays Fly In, organized by a small group of aviation fanatics was in my opinion a huge success and placed the town and its tourist potential squarely on the map and deserves to be a regular feature on the aviation calendar.
The 3rd Annual Alldays Bosveldfees & Fly-in 14th- 16th June 2013
The organisers of the Alldays Bosveldfees & Fly-in, are in process of organising for the 3rd event, based on the huge success and demand from pilots, visitors and exhibitors alike of the 1st & 2nd events. The event is expected to attract a far larger audience in 2013 as the attendance at the 2011 & 2012 event was somewhat inhibited by the fact that the “Windpompfees” at Naboomspruit, which annually attracts more than 30,000 visitors was also scheduled for the same week-end. Despite the conflicting dates, the Alldays Fly In was able to attract a respectable number of visitors (+/-6,000) per year in its inaugural seasons. In 2013, there is no conflicting scheduling, and the Alldays Bosveldfees & Fly In intends attracting between 10,000 to 12,000 visitors this year, building on the success of its previous events.
Visitors will be entertained by artist with live entertainment in the form of THEUNS JORDAAN & ANTON L’AMOUR, ADAM TAS, MD GREYLING, RICUS NEL, THYS DIE BOSVELDKLONG,SNOTKOP & KARLIEN HUSSELMAN!

In celebration of the refurbishing of our runway and facilities and to show appreciation to our sponsors, we will showcase an A grade airshow with unrivaled entertainment to dazzle the aviation enthusiast and public alike.
Besides securing the top display acts, a huge variety of food stalls and craft market to support our charities, we will sustain the standard by presenting a top class live rock show to entertain during and well after the air display in our suitably matched beer garden.
Overnight fly in visitors are most welcome, from Friday till Sunday, either to camp under the wing or make use of local accommodation. Security will be provided and details of participating vendors to provide discounted rates and shuttle services will be announced shortly.
Fly in visitors on the Saturday need to ensure that they arrive by 9h00 so as not to disrupt the display and not rely on departure slots for the duration of the show.
Ample opportunity exists for corporate sponsorship and advertising, limited static displays and intro / pleasure flips on the Sunday.

The Swartkops SAAF Museum Airshow has won the “Best Airshow” award again for the second time in succession.
Lt Col Mike ‘O Connor promises that the 2014 Airshow will be bigger and better than before!
The annual SAAF Museum Air Show has been scheduled and has been approved to take place on 10 May 2014. This Air Show has proved to be a favourite on the annual Air Show calendar. The Air Show is known to attract up to 45 000 spectators and is a not to miss event for aviation enthusiasts. The Museum Air Show remains the favoured event to attend and we are fortunate that most of the pilots and local airlines that participate in the annual Air Show attend and display their aircraft at no cost to the Museum.
